No, Physiotherapists are first line practitioners and therefore no referral is needed from your doctor. If you have been referred by a doctor, bring the referral letter to your first treatment.

If your doctor has ordered X-rays it is advisable to bring them to your physiotherapy appointment. If need be, we as physiotherapists can also send you for x-rays or scans.

Wear comfortable clothing if possible to allow your physiotherapists access to your injury.

Your initial assessment can take up to 60minutes depending on the complexity of your injury. Thereafter follow-up appointments can range from 30-45 minutes. If it is your first visit arrive 10minutes earlier to allow time to fill in new patient information forms.

All treatments are claimed through the medical aid. If you do not have available funds, you are responsible for your account. Private patients need to settle their account after each treatment session.

If you are unable to make an appointment it is important to call and cancel 2hours prior to the appointment. The full tariff will be charged if an appointment is missed.
